New Focus: Coordination in the Public Sector with COCOPS

cocops

As part of a European research project, COCOPS (www.cocops.eu), the group has collected a large number of case studies on ‘coordination in the public sector’. The focus of the project is : How do public sectors deal with problems of fragmentation following New Public Management reforms. COCOPS research partners have now written case studies on about 12 different countries and 23 different government initiatives. All of these case studies are available in a brief and harmonised format. Apart from that, COCOPS  has also written several papers on coordination, and is organising a number of events.

In colloaboration with the COCOPS team, the IIAS Knowledge Portal would like to make this material more accessible to the wider research and practitioner community.

The content of the Focus on Coordination in the Public Sector will be updated regularly and you can already find :

1. An Introduction to coordination and to COCOPS’s Work Package 5: Coordinating social cohesion

2. Key academic literature

3. An interview with COCOPS Team Member, Per Lægreid

We encourage you to come and discuss with us in the Coordination in the Public Sector Forum
