For several years now, the European Group for Public Administration and the International Institute of Administrative Sciences have decided to develop a dialogue in the Mediterranean.

In order to share experiences, traditions, cultures, and to report on developments in public management across the two shores of the Mediterranean, we have established a constructive dialogue on various common issues: the MED (Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue on Public Management-MED).

This dialogue has also allowed us to establish partnerships necessary to the emergence of a platform for discussion that we then extended to the Arab countries to strengthen its geopolitical relevance.

Recent events in many countries of the region, known as the Arab Spring, have strengthened our commitment to this dialogue and strengthen this exchange space.

In two weeks, on 7 October, the 6th edition of the MED will open its doors in Marseille, to welcome participants from both shores of the Mediteranean Sea and beyond to discuss issues rgarding Public Administration and exchanges ideas and experiences.

The various initiatives and events organised in this framework deserve a special highlight and this is why the Knowledge Portal has published a ressource Focus devoted to Public Management in the Mediterranean.
